Windhoek to Sesriem

You will depart for the Sesriem area early morning. Our route takes you across the Kuiseb River, which sporadically flows through the Kuiseb Canyon. You'll stop for lunch along the way and also pass through the small hamlet of Solitaire, driving into the Namib Desert. You make your way to our camp at Sesriem, near the Naukluft Mountain Range.

Sesriem

You'll have an early breakfast before sunrise, arriving at the entrance to the Namib-Naukluft National Park in time for sunrise. You'll drive through the national park watching the changing colours as the sun lights up the desert landscape, and go for a stretch to the famous Sossusvlei Dunes. Arriving at the striking dunes early in the day, you'll get to admire the orange-red tinged dunes in the warm morning light. This is one of the most remarkable highlights of Namibia, with its tall ochre dunes and stark contrasts under wide skies.
