After breakfast at your accommodation, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro area. On this day you will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater, formed when a huge volcano erupted 2 million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem. The crater has the highest animal concentration in Africa.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. Nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhinos. Then, you will drive to Southern Serengeti, known as the Ndutu area, for an evening game drive and dinner.

Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebra and antelope. In the right season, between December and April, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and a nursery for the great migration. The calving season attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest.
