Your Materuni village adventure begins with a 9 am pickup in Moshi/Arusha. After registering at the village office, a 45-minute trek leads you to picturesque waterfalls, offering stunning scenery and insights into Chagga culture. You'll enjoy a rest or brave a swim at the waterfall.
Returning through a different path, your day continues with a coffee experience. You'll learn about coffee bean cultivation, drying, and roasting while actively participating. Locals sing and dance around you during this immersive encounter.
Following the coffee adventure, local 'mama's' prepare a delicious Chagga lunch, featuring options like banana stew, pilau, or rice and beans. Afterward, your guide/driver takes you back to Moshi/Arusha, concluding a day of nature, culture, and culinary delights.

Tarangire National Park
You will leave Arusha Town soon for Tarangire National Park. Lured by its winding river over the dry season, herds of animals pour into this park which boasts the highest recorded number of breeding species for any habitat in the world. The park boasts a huge elephant population, rolling hills, and open savannah dotted with the majestic “upside down” baobab trees, believed by the Maasai to be the first tree of creation, offering a picturesque background.

Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. In the late afternoon, you will transfer to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay or airport for drop off.

Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The park offers dramatic views over lush groundwater-fed forests and the stunning Lake Manyara. The forests are thick with mahogany, sausage trees, star grass, and other impressive varieties of flora. Wildlife is abundant, with over 380 species of birds. You can also experience a canoe trip on the hippo-filled lake. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Arusha.
