This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in Swahili, 'endless plains'. The park has 6,900 sq. miles and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. Hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes including the abundant impalas and Thomson's gazelles. You will continue the game drive for the whole day.

Transfer from Central Serengeti National Park to Lake Natron

After a delicious breakfast, your tour guide driver will pick you up at your lodge with lunch boxes. You'll transfer to Lake Natron. You will visit waterfalls and Lake Natron, one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake is a haven for thousands of lesser flamingos and is one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. You will enjoy a refreshing swim in the river and under the waterfalls for a nice cool-down from the hot sun.

Lake Natron is located in northern Tanzania, near the border with neighboring Kenya. Lake Natron is situated northeast of the Ngorongoro Crater. The landscape is dominated by OL Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano that is just south of Lake Natron. Lake Natron is primarily fed by the southern Ewaso Ngiro River and by hot springs that are rich in minerals.
