Northern Serengeti National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will start driving through North Serengeti to see the herds as they search for the most secure crossing point during the Great Migration. The Mara River, a boundary between Tanzania and Kenya, is a particularly dangerous part of the migratory route. It is the ideal spot to witness the most significant display on earth, with its millions of clattering hooves, crashing waters, and predators waiting on the other side.
You'll spend an exciting day touring the northern and southern sides of the River and witnessing the excitement develop among the migrating herds as they make their initial hesitant crossings and their final magnificent passage.
Sightings of the annual Serengeti wildebeest migration are not assured because they depend on the timing of the yearly rains. However, if you follow our knowledgeable guide, the months of July through October are your best bet for witnessing the migration.
