Day 1

Your day begins early with a 5:00 AM pick-up from your lodge at Lake Bunyonyi. With packed breakfast and lunch, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Kalinzu Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, attend a briefing by UWA (Uganda Wildlife Authority) rangers before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. The trek takes 2–4 hours depending on the chimpanzees’ location. Once located, you will spend a full hour observing them in their natural environment—a truly humbling and exciting experience.
After the trek, begin the return journey to Lake Bunyonyi. You are expected to arrive back at your lodge in the evening marking the end of the one day Trip. End.
