Kigali transfer to Nyungwe National Park

After an early morning breakfast at your residence or at your hotel, your guide will meets & greets and do the chimpanzee $ lowland Gorilla Trekking briefing. You will then visit the Kigali genocide museum to pay your last respects for the victims of 1994 Rwanda Genocide against Tutsi and this will be followed by a transfer to Nyungwe National Park. Overnight at Ken Barham Guesthouse or similar.

Rwanda Chimpanzee Trekking, Nyungwe National Park

At 04:30am an early morning breakfast or order packed breakfast & this will be followed by meeting with the ranger guide at Gisakura & then transfer to Cyamudongo & or Uwinka visitors center to begin with chimpanzee trekking & subsequently there will be a canopy walk that starts at Uwinka visitors center and then transfer to Lake Kivu, Cyangungu. Overnight at Peace Guesthouse or similar.

Rusiizi, Rwanda - Gorilla Trekking, Kahuzi Biega NP, Congo (DRC)

After an early morning breakfast, be prepared with your passport to go crossing the border at Rusizi (1) and proceed to kahuzi Biega National Park to participate on the lowland Gorilla Tracking on arrival. You’ll be a companied by the ranger guide and his team of trackers to hike into the forest in search of the gentle giants. Once you find them you’ll be allowed to stay with them for an hour and after the experience return to the start point and then transfer back to Bukavu. Overnight at Nediva Bed & Breakfast or similar.

Kahuzi Biega NP, Democratic Republic of Congo - Volcanoes NP, Rwanda

An early morning breakfast, will be followed by a transfer to the Ihusi port take take a ferry north to Goma. On arrival transfer you’ll do immigration clearance and then transfer to the to Rwanda using the Grand Bariere border, after the immigration clearance proceed to Volcanoes National Park. Overnight at Muhabura Hotel or Similar.

Optional Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Tracking Volcanoes National Park

Today to participate on the Rwanda Gorilla Trekking a Gorilla Trekking ticket at additional cost of $1,500 is required & or participate in the alternative Bosoke Volcano Hike.
Early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for trekking briefing and then hike up into the rainforest to a troop of magnificent mountain gorillas. Each troop has its own 24 hour guard, so their location is known, you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters indeed. After the day experience return back to the Lodge. Overnight at Muhabura Hotel or similar.

Golden Monkey Trekking, Volcanoes National - Kigali

After an early morning breakfast transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi to go for golden monkey tracking. These primates are beautiful, endangered & more agile than the mountain gorillas. They live in bamboo thickets on the lower slopes of the mountains – and tracking them acclimatizes you perfectly to the slight altitude, marking your last views of the park's environs, and this will be followed by a transfer to Kigali marking the end or Your Rwanda & Congo Gorilla Trip. End.
