Visit Kigali city & Bugesera reconciliation village
Embark on a historical exploration of Kigali city, visiting landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide, and post-genocide times. This includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide memorial site and the Belgian camp.
In the afternoon, transfer to Bugesera to visit the reconciliation village, where survivors and perpetrators of the genocide live together.
Engage in traditional activities and hear testimonies from both sides before dinner and overnight stay at Your Hotel.

Day 2
Transfer to Akagera National Park Head on a Boat safari and Afternoon game drive

Transfer to Akagera National Park, where you will receive a briefing upon arrival. After lunch at the lodge, embark on a boat cruise at Lake Ihema to observe hippos, Nile crocodiles, water birds, and buffaloes.
Then Embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the big 5 (lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes), as well as various antelope species and rare birds.
Later in the evening you will return to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 3
Early Morning game drive and transfer back to Kigali

After an early breakfast at the lodge, embark on a morning game drive from the south to the north, seeking unseen wildlife from the previous drive. Enjoy a packed lunch and soft drinks during the drive, then transfer back to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

In the early morning, depart for Nyungwe. Along the way, engage in a brief historical exploration of Nyanza, visiting the King’s palace, a traditional Rwandan home, and the National Museum to learn about Rwanda’s kingdoms and colonial architecture. Continue to Nyungwe Forest for a walk on a raised artificial bridge, providing an aerial view of the dense Nyungwe Canopy.

Day 5

Begin the day with an early breakfast at 5:30am before driving to the forest edge to start the chimpanzee trek.
In the afternoon, transfer to Kibuye, known as one of Rwanda’s, most picturesque lake ports, nestled among rolling hills and providing breathtaking views of the lake, islands, and surrounding countryside.
This hidden treasure is characterized by lush green hills and a tranquil atmosphere. Check in at your lodge and have the evening at leisure.

Start the day with breakfast by the shores of Lake Kivu, followed by a boat ride to Napoleon and Peace Islands. These islands offer stunning scenery, breathtaking landscapes, and opportunities to observe birds and fruit bats.
An exclusive nature walk on both islands provides a rewarding experience for visitors.
After the cruise, transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Early morning after breakfast, report to the park offices by 8am in time for the briefing about the experience, then embark on a forest walk to track the rear primates in the natural habitat of the bamboo forest.

After the experience you will transfer back to Kigali for departure or overnight stay to your preferred hotel.
