Visit Kigali city & Bugesera reconciliation village
Embark on a historical exploration of Kigali city, visiting landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide, and post-genocide times. This includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide memorial site and the Belgian camp.
In the afternoon, transfer to Bugesera to visit the reconciliation village, where survivors and perpetrators of the genocide live together.

Transfer to Akagera National Park Head on a Boat safari and Afternoon game drive
Transfer to Akagera National Park, where you will receive a briefing upon arrival. After lunch at the lodge, embark on a boat cruise at Lake Ihema to observe hippos, Nile crocodiles, water birds, and buffaloes.
Then Embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the big 5 (lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes), as well as various antelope species and rare birds.
Later in the evening you will return to your lodge for overnight stay.

Early Morning game drive and transfer back to Kigali

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest with museum visits and canopy walkway
In the early morning, depart for Nyungwe. Along the way, engage in a brief historical exploration of Nyanza, visiting the King’s palace, a traditional Rwandan home, and the National Museum to learn about Rwanda’s kingdoms and colonial architecture. Continue to Nyungwe Forest for a walk on a raised artificial bridge, providing an aerial view of the dense Nyungwe Canopy.

Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Lake Kivu
Begin the day with an early breakfast at 5:30am before driving to the forest edge to start the chimpanzee trek.
In the afternoon, transfer to Kibuye, known as one of Rwanda’s, most picturesque lake ports, nestled among rolling hills and providing breathtaking views of the lake, islands, and surrounding countryside.

Boat Safari at Lake Kivu then transfer to Volcanoes National Park
