The tour departs promptly at 8.00am from the Stables Market Place on the Sani Road, just outside the village of Himeville, therefore you should be ready by 07.45am. Immerse yourself in the culture of the Basotho people at a historical trading post; and get a glimpse into history by visiting this small village. The Lesotho town Mokhotlong is a scenic hour and a half drive from the Sani Pass Border Post. You will go Basotho Pony-Trekking in the foothills near Mokhotlong with your guide - to the heart of a homestead to learn from these pleasant and warm people. Because Mokhotlong is so isolated, it has escaped the development that other cities in Lesotho have experienced. As a result, guests may experience a truly authentic village in the ‘Kingdom in the Sky’;. Your return via Sani Pass will be completed with a visit to Africa’s Highest Pub. You will return to Himeville around 18:00.
