After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, your guide from Robare Safaris will pick you up. Today, you'll head to Tarangire National Park, a journey of roughly two and a half hours on well-maintained asphalt roads. The park is named for the Tarangire River that flows through it, known locally as the 'river of warthogs,' which becomes the sole water source for the area's wildlife during the dry spells. Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants often found by the riverbank. You might also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with predators like lions and leopards in pursuit. Tarangire boasts the highest number of bird species breeding in a single habitat worldwide. Additionally, the park is home to towering and ancient Baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old.
