Serengeti National Park

After spending the entire morning seeing wildlife on the vast plains of the Serengeti, we will have lunch at a picnic area inside the park around 1:30pm. We will then carry on with our game drive until nightfall. Most people are familiar with the Serengeti because of the yearly migration that crosses the vast savannah grasslands. Thousands upon thousands of animals, mostly wildebeest, as far as the eye can see, make for an amazing spectacle. In addition to the wildebeest, other notable inhabitants of the Serengeti are cheetahs, leopards, and lions, some of which stay on the central plain and migrate with the latter. We will return to Central Serengeti Luxury Camps for dinner and an overnight stay.

The crater dominates with 600-meter (2,000 feet) high cliffs that offer a sharp drop into an open area covering about 246 square kilometers (95 square miles). Amidst vast herds of zebra and wildebeest, you might spot anything from elephants to lions and, if you are lucky, the nearly extinct black rhino.
