3-Day Budget Mikumi Safari (Sgr Train & Open Jeep)

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park & Cultural Tour

You will be picked up from the airport, ferry terminal, or your hotel in a luxury Toyota Alphard van to the SGR Train Station in Dar es salaam (only 1 hr 45 Minutes) to Morogoro town. Meeting Our Van Driver, After a short briefing about the trip, we will begin the journey to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will have Lunch and time to relax at the hotel for a few hours. Later in the day, we will visit a local Maasai boma for a two-hour cultural tour, offering an authentic insight into Maasai traditions and way of life.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Chambo Villas or a similar mid-range accommodation.

Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, set off on a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park aboard an open safari Jeep. One of the park's most unique features is its vast, open plains, which make wildlife viewing especially rewarding. Mikumi is home to a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, impalas, zebras and many more. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic campsites within the park, surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Mikumi Resort or similar mid-range accommodation.

Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam

After an early breakfast, we will begin the drive back to Morogoro town for your Train to Dar es salaa. Upon arrival in the city, you will be dropped off at the ferry terminal in time for the ferry to Zanzibar, or alternatively at your hotel or the airport, whichever suits your travel plans best.
