Day 3

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, travelling through the scenic countryside towards Uganda’s largest national park. Upon arrival, proceed to the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging into the gorge below. Enjoy a guided hike to the Top of the Falls, offering breathtaking views of the powerful cascades and excellent opportunities for photography.
After the hike, continue to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax. Later in the afternoon, embark on an evening game drive across the park’s savannah plains. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, warthogs, and, with luck, lions and leopards. As the sun sets over the park, enjoy the beautiful scenery before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Rise early and enjoy a morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park, when wildlife is most active. Explore the park’s vast savannah plains in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, warthogs, and other wildlife. With some luck, you may also encounter lions and leopards as they move through the grasslands. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax.
After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The cruise offers spectacular views of the river and an opportunity to see large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water birds along the banks. As you approach the falls, enjoy the dramatic scenery and the powerful sound of the Nile rushing through the narrow gorge before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Embark on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, a highlight of your adventure. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest with experienced guides. Dinner will be at your own expense, allowing you to sample more of Uganda’s delicious cuisine.
