As you step off your flight at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a friendly Tales of Tanzania Safaris representative will be there to welcome you. The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 110 km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha. Tarangire National Park is a vast wilderness, renowned for its large herds of elephants, which can often be seen bathing in the Tarangire River. But it's not just elephants that make this park special. It’s also home to lions, leopards, and a myriad of bird species, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. The park's diverse landscapes, from the lush Silale Swamp to the rugged baobab-studded plains, offer a unique backdrop for wildlife sightings.
You will enjoy a hot lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge, followed by a thrilling game drive. As the day draws to a close, you'll be transported to the tranquil Burunge Tented Camp, where you'll comfortably spend the night. A delicious dinner awaits you, providing the perfect end to an exciting day of wildlife exploration.

Imagine yourself in this lovely park, nestled between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. It's a place where you can witness the unique spectacle of a beautiful groundwater forest, home to blue monkeys, giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, and a picturesque lake adorned with pink flamingos in the distance.
Stretching for 50km along the base of the majestic 600m high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic masterpiece, a setting that even Ernest Hemingway praised as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The road from the entrance gate winds through a lush jungle-like groundwater forest, where baboon troops lounge, blue monkeys scamper, bushbuck tread, and forest hornbills honk, creating a symphony of nature.
As part of your tour, you'll be treated to a delicious hot local lunch at one of our selected spots. In the late afternoon, you'll be chauffeured to your comfortable lodge for a relaxing overnight stay and a satisfying dinner.

After breakfast you will head to Ngorongoro Crater. Your first sight of Ngorongoro Crater is likely not one you’ll easily forget. As seen from the crater rim, this natural bowl, both vast and intimate, is one of Africa’s most beautiful natural features, stretching 19 green kilometers (12 miles) from one side to the other. Down in the crater itself, you’ll explore an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by high crater walls. Here, lions and hyenas hunt wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle within sight of elephants and black rhinos. Your day spent here will reveal a surprising variety of habitats, from the Lereal Forest and salty Lake Magadi to the plains that rise and fall gently all across the valley floor. After the enjoying your time in the crater you will drive on to Serengeti for overnight and dinner.

Today you will explore the heart of the Serengeti on a full-day game drive. The Seronera Valley is renowned for its incredible predator sightings, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive.
In the late afternoon, you will drive back to your lodge for overnight and dinner.

You'll experience the thrill of an early morning game drive, a unique opportunity to witness wildlife in their most active state. Departing the lodge before sunrise at 6 am, you'll have the best chance to spot the big cats returning from a night of hunting, as well as other fascinating creatures, in the cool morning temperature. After the exhilarating game drive, you will be chauffeured back to the luxurious lodge for a leisurely breakfast. This will be followed by a pure relaxation break, allowing you to unwind in the comfort and serenity of your surroundings. Later in the day, you will have the opportunity to capture the breathtaking beauty of the African sunset during an afternoon game drive. This is a perfect time for stunning sunset photos, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Today, after a delightful breakfast, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to the Isebania Border. When you arrive, you’ll switch vehicles and meet your friendly new driver and guide. After a quick stop at immigration, you’ll cross into Kenya with a tasty packed lunch from Serengeti. Once you’re in Kenya, the adventure continues as you head to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, enjoying a fun game drive along the way! After your wildlife adventures, you’ll check in at the cozy Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

We think you'll love the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the best places to watch wildlife anywhere in Kenya. You're almost guaranteed to see plenty of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas. With so many impalas, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and other prey species here, as well as over 500 bird species, you'll see plenty of safari action. Also everywhere are elephants, giraffes and hippos, and everyone who visits falls in love with the Masai Mara's classic safari landscapes.
