Day 1

Genocide and transfer to Volcanoes

The driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and start the day with the genocide memorial center and proceed to Volcanoes National Park, located in the north of Ruhengeri. Travel via undulating and beautiful terraced hills, showing a clear picture of the general landscape and altitude of Rwanda. When you reach the volcanoes you will have lunch and then transfer to the Ibiywachu for the cultural activity. You will have a relaxed evening at the lodge as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.

After breakfast, enjoy an early morning golden monkey tracking experience in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. After the trek, you’ll begin your cross-border journey into Uganda, heading toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Day 3

Gorilla trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on your gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you’ll hike through dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the moment you encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable.

After the trek and a packed lunch, you’ll begin your scenic transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy views of rolling hills, local villages, and lush landscapes along the way. Arrive in the park in the evening, with a chance to spot wildlife as you settle into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning chimpanzee tracking experience. Often referred to as the "Valley of Apes," this lush, forested gorge is home to a small but active community of wild chimpanzees. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll descend into the gorge to observe these intelligent primates in their natural environment, along with other wildlife and bird species.

After the trek, begin your journey to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside during the cross-border transfer. Lunch will be provided en-route, with an expected arrival at the airport.
