Nairobi to Masai Mara

After making your own way to Wilson Airport, check in for your scheduled morning flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy a scenic flight over the Great Rift Valley and Kenya’s rolling landscapes, arriving at a Mara airstrip in about one hour.

On arrival, you’ll be met by your safari guide and begin a game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. This first drive offers an excellent introduction to the reserve, with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, and abundant plains game.

Arrive at camp in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for a second game drive, exploring the rich savannah and riverine areas as wildlife becomes more active. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

Start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to see predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the hunt. Return to camp for breakfast, followed by leisure time to enjoy the views, wildlife around camp, or lodge facilities.

After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive, continuing your exploration of the reserve’s diverse ecosystems. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, with vast herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains.

As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and overnight, reflecting on a full and rewarding safari day.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a short game drive en route to the airstrip, giving you one last chance to spot wildlife as you make your way through the reserve. Your return flight to Nairobi departs the Masai Mara between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., arriving at Wilson Airport between 11:45 a.m. and noon.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, your memorable Masai Mara safari comes to an end. Airport transfers are not included but can be arranged at an extra cost if needed.
