Nairobi to Masai Mara – Scenic Flight and Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins with a short flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to the world-renowned Masai Mara. Once airborne, enjoy stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley, forested escarpments, and the vast golden plains of southern Kenya.

Upon arrival at the Masai Mara airstrip, you’ll be met by your camp or lodge’s safari guide and transferred to your accommodation. After a warm welcome and check-in, enjoy lunch while taking in the tranquil sights and sounds of the wilderness.

In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in the reserve famous for its high density of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. As you explore the open savannah and riverine forests, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, and many other iconic African animals.

Return to camp in the early evening for dinner, followed by a relaxing night under the stars. The sounds of the bush will lull you to sleep, offering the perfect end to your first day in the wild.

Full-Day Safari Adventure – Morning and Afternoon Game Drives

Wake up early to the calls of birds and wildlife echoing across the plains. After a light breakfast, you’ll head out for your morning game drive — one of the best times to witness predators on the move and herbivores grazing in the cool morning air.

Return to camp mid-morning and enjoy some time at leisure. You can relax on your private veranda, watch animals pass by the camp, or simply soak in the natural beauty around you.

In the afternoon, you’ll venture out again for your second game drive of the day. The light is golden, the air cooler, and the wildlife is often more active. Your guide will take you to new areas of the reserve, increasing your chances of encountering different species and behaviors.

As the sun sets over the Mara, you’ll return to camp for dinner and perhaps a drink by the campfire. Share stories from the day with fellow travelers, or enjoy a peaceful night in the privacy of your tent or lodge room.
