Day 1
We’ll pick you up in Arusha for a one-hour drive to Kilimanjaro National Park, arriving at Marangu Gate. From there, you’ll begin your hike through the lush tropical rainforest, surrounded by impressive vegetation and the chance to spot black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Our knowledgeable, English-speaking guide will share insights about Kilimanjaro, explaining the unique plants and animals along the way. You may also meet climbers descending from the summit, perhaps inspiring you with stories of their experiences!
After a 3 to 4-hour hike, you’ll arrive at Mandara Hut (2,700m) for a well-deserved rest and lunch. Your guide will then take you on a short, 15-minute walk to Maundi Crater, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afterward, you’ll descend back to the gate, where we’ll drive you back to your hotel.
