4-Day Murchison and Rhino Tracking Safari

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park Via Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking

This tour-guided safari will begin in Kampala/ Entebbe at 7:00 am. The safari towards Murchison Falls National Park will enable us to stop over the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This amazing location is home to 26 southern white rhinos and you will get an opportunity to trek through this sanctuary and learn about the reintroduction of rhinos in Uganda. You will then drive for a hot lunch in Masindi and then proceed to the lodge for check-in have dinner and overnight stay.

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls

After breakfast, you will go for your morning game drive that will provide you an opportunity of spotting wildlife which may include, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and if lucky cats such as lions and leopards. The game drive will take 3-4 hours. Return to the lodge for a lunch break before proceeding to the pier for your two-hour boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to witness how the river Nile squeezes itself in a narrow gorge before exploding out producing an experience of a lifetime. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest and evening game drive

Wake up very early in the morning have breakfast at exactly 6:30 am and proceed to track the chimpanzees but before, you will have a briefing on how to track these primates. The park ranger will brief you about the activity before you set off into the forest. Budongo forest is a habitat for more than 13 primate species, some of which include the black and white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, etc. After this activity, go back to the lodge for lunch and then proceed to have an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Hike to the top of the falls and drive back to kampala to end the trip

After breakfast, you will head to the top of the falls for the amazing top of the falls experience After you will drive back to the lodge to check out and have a drive.
