Your safari adventure begins with morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar then fly to Arusha. After a short briefing, you drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

Upon entering the park, you begin your first game drive along the Tarangire River, the main water source attracting wildlife throughout the year. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and possibly lions resting under acacia trees. Tarangire is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 500 recorded species. Day 2

Forest Birding & Flamingo Viewing
After breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The day begins in the lush groundwater forest, where your specialist bird guide leads a focused birdwatching session. This habitat is home to unique forest species such as:

Silvery-cheeked hornbills

Narina trogons

Crowned eagles

Schalow’s turacos

Crested guineafowl

The forest also hosts large troops of baboons and blue monkeys. As you continue toward the alkaline soda lake, you may witness thousands of flamingos lining the shoreline (seasonal), along with pelicans, storks, and other waterbirds. This area provides incredible photography opportunities.
Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, hippos, giraffes, and buffalo.

After a full day of wildlife viewing and birding, you drive to mto wa mbu for dinner and overnight.

Endless Plains & Predator Tracking
After an early breakfast, you travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast savannah plains stretching to the horizon. The Serengeti is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration and offers some of Africa’s best predator sightings.
During your game drive, you may encounter:

Lions and lion prides

Cheetahs hunting on the plains

Leopards resting in acacia trees

Large herds of wildebeest and zebras

Hyenas and jackals

Birdlife remains abundant, including secretary birds, vultures, ostriches, and various raptors. You enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park followed by an extended afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, you depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor hosts one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa. During your game drive, you may spot:

Black rhino (rare and protected)

Large lion prides

Buffalo herds

Hippos in freshwater pools

Zebras and wildebeest

Hyenas and jackals

The crater lake also attracts flamingos and other waterbirds, adding a final birdwatching highlight to your safari.
After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha Airport in the late afternoon fly back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day Tanzania wildlife and birding safari.
