Guided Game Drive and Drive back to Kigali
Guided Game Drive and Drive back to Kigali
At 7 am, after breakfast, you'll commence the day for full game viewing in this African Savannah, hills, and jungle park. Plenty of animals can be seen, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, hippos, rhinos, crocodiles, and many other mammal species. Known as one of the most scenic savannahs in East Africa, the game drive in Akagera National Park provides you with the opportunity to also view gentle hills blending beautifully with lowland swamps and water bodies.
Dominated by the labyrinth of lakes that follow the meandering Akagera River, the most remote source of the River Nile, Akagera National Park (1,122 km2) is an archetypal African Savannah; tangled acacia woodland interspersed with open grassland, but above all, Akagera is big game country
You will have a boat trip on the picturesque Lake Ihema that will offer you pods of 50+ hippopotami, grunt and splutter, crocodiles, as well as other animals like buffalo, quenching their thirst at the banks of the lake.
