On this remarkable day, we meet either at the airport or the doorstep of your hotel and head for the Drakensberg Mountains. Our destination is located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, which borders the Kingdom of Lesotho to the south. We will arrive at our destination and check into our reserved accommodation around noon. Today's activity is a 2-hour hiking adventure to Jackal Hill, a very welcoming experience. Dinner will be prepared in the Sungubala Eco Camp.

Today's 5-hour hike is aimed at introducing the beautiful rock art work permanently engraved by the first inhabitants of the southern region. It is about the lives and culture of their daily lives. These paintings are found in the caves and in overhangs, depicting a range of subjects, from animals to human figures. On this day, our second hike in a hiking basket is The Cavern, which lasts for 2 hours.

Day 3

Battlefields and St Lucia

Battlefields and St Lucia

Today, we will check out after breakfast. It is another exciting day, adding more flavour to the discovery of South Africa's gems. Our main destinations are St. Lucia, South Africa's largest inland body of water. In December 1999, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before arrival, we will stop at Rourke's Drift Museum, located in the centre of the most historically significant battles in Zululand, South Africa. After this, we proceed towards our main destination of St. Lucia, a town in Isimangaliso Wetland Park.

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Safari Experience

This morning is dedicated to open game viewing in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. We leave early in the morning and return in the afternoon. Upon our return, we make the most of the remaining hours to explore some activities in St. Lucia. These additional options are available at your own cost, and we are available to assist with reservations. The most recommended option is the estuarine boat trip, which offers a high percentage of sightings of crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species up close, including the elusive African kingfisher eagle, in their natural habitat. Other options are a bicycle tour and an evening game drive in Isimangaliso Wetland Park. You will spend the night in the same hotel.

Day 5

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

After breakfast, we will check out of the Forest Lodge, leaving St. Lucia with memorable experiences. Upon arrival in the Kingdom of Eswatini, we enter the Kingdom from the Golela border post and make our first stop in the Swazi Candles Center, a cluster of handicraft outlets around the showroom and workshop of Swazi Candles. This is our lunch stop, and the perfect opportunity to witness the beautiful handmade candle products on display here.

The next stop is Mlilwane Game Reserve for the 2-hour horseback safari. The oldest nature reserve in the Kingdom offers a unique wildlife experience, bringing visitors up close to all the wild animals the reserve has to offer. Afterwards, we proceed to our reserved hotel.

Day 6

Eswatini to Kruger National Park

Eswatini to Kruger National Park

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our first stop at the Ngwenya Glass factory before heading to South Africa. We will witness outstanding bottle recycling work, where a master craftsman creates a beautiful selection of glassware, ranging from ornamental African animals to jugs, drinking glasses, and tableware, all made from 100% recycled clear glass bottles. From here, we proceed to exit the Kingdom from the Matsamo Border post. Immediately after our exit, we visit the Matsamo Cultural Village. The Cultural Village provides an insight into the cultures and traditions of the Swazi-speaking community through a guided tour and a traditional dance show. Lunch is included in the package. Then, we head for our check-in at our hotel in Kruger.

The Kruger National Park game viewing is conducted in an open safari vehicle. This is a full-day Kruger experience that lasts for 9 hours. Although the hours seem long, time flies quickly during the game drive. Comfort and lunch breaks are provided. As the prince of Africa's safari destinations, Kruger offers a great chance for amazing sightseeing. It's always advisable to start the day with a fully-charged camera battery. The open safari vehicle game drives are shared, but we can accommodate private game drives on request at private rates for the open safari vehicle.

Today, after breakfast, we check out of the hotel and enter Kruger for another wildlife experience in our private, closed vehicle. This is to be our last safari experience. Our hotel destination is Hippo Hollow Country Estate, where we will be staying for the next 2 nights and 3 days. Another lovely moment to enjoy in the park. We exit the park to check into our reserved accommodation around sunset. We have time to refresh while waiting for dinner and our overnight stay.

Today, we explore another natural wonder in the "place of the sunrise" - Mpumalanga Province - along the Drakensberg escarpment. Get blown away by all our attractive destinations. You will also visit God's Window, a very short hike. Attractive destinations include Graskop Gorge, God's Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, and the Three Rondavels. Please note that the Graskop Gorge offers optional activities (at an additional cost), including a gorge lift, zipline, and the Big Swing. We only cover the entrance fees.
