Antananarivo to Antsirabe

After breakfast, visit the Queen’s Palace, also known as the Rova of Antananarivo, an important historical site that reflects Madagascar’s royal heritage. Enjoy the panoramic views of the capital and learn more about the history of the Merina Kingdom. Afterwards, depart for Antsirabe, a charming town located in the central highlands. Along the way, admire the terraced rice fields, traditional villages, and beautiful landscapes of the Malagasy countryside. Upon arrival in Antsirabe, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 3
Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
After breakfast, you continue your journey toward Miandrivazo, descending gradually from the cool highlands to the warmer western region. The drive offers beautiful panoramic views of open savannas, rocky formations, and rural villages. You will arrive in Miandrivazo in the early afternoon, giving you time to settle into your hotel. The rest of the day is dedicated to preparing for the upcoming river expedition on the Mahajilo and Tsiribihina Rivers. You can also enjoy a peaceful walk around the town, known for its relaxed atmosphere and golden sunsets.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will take our 4X4 and continue further to the southwest to join the marvelous Tsiribihina River, where you are going to start the river tour. Today, you will have a full-day safari on a canoe by admiring the beauty of the riverside with birds and the village people canoeing the canoe to their rice field. A nice bath at the water of nosy nampela will take place before you head to the place where you are going to camp. Here, you will see some lemurs. They will be the first lemurs; then, they will come closer to you. Just prepare some bananas.

After your silent night camping and an early breakfast, you will continue the trip. Today is another amazing day at the river.
It will get more and more exciting all the way long. There will be baobabs as well as parrots and other species of birds and crocodiles around as well as sometimes fishermen and people planting around.

Today is our last morning on the river. After your camping on the riverside in the morning, you will continue canoeing a little. Then, you'll take a zebu chart reaching our FWD. When you meet the driver, you will get into the FWD and continue to Bekopaka. On the way, you will cross the Tsiribihina River again on a ferry boat. After the ferry, you will stop for lunch. Later, you'll carry on till Bekopaka. On arrival, you will check into the hotel for overnight accommodation.

You'll depart early for Kirindy Reserve, a unique wildlife haven home to the elusive fossa, various lemur species, and rare birds. You'll explore the forest’s diverse ecosystems, spotting these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. Afterward, you will head to Morondava and arrive in time for the iconic Baobab Alley sunset, where the towering, ancient baobab trees are bathed in golden light, creating a truly magical and unforgettable moment in Madagascar.

Admire the majestic baobab trees as the warm afternoon light creates beautiful colours across the landscape. Stay until sunset to enjoy this unforgettable setting and take memorable photographs before returning to Morondava for the night.

After the visit, return to Morondava for breakfast and prepare for your transfer to the airport. Board your domestic flight to Antananarivo, subject to the confirmed flight schedule and availability. Upon arrival in the capital, transfer to your hotel or prepare for your international departure arrangements.
