Airport pickup, Drive to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

We will assign our a tour driver-guide to pick you up in Kampala or Entebbe. You will then on a scenic drive northwest, passing through Luwero and Masindi towns, enjoying Uganda’s changing landscapes along the way. En route, we will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience, where you will walk on foot in search of Uganda’s endangered rhinos in their natural habitat. This memorable encounter is complemented by a picnic lunch before continuing the journey.
Later, proceed to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls, where the power and beauty of the Nile are at their most dramatic. Here, the river is forced from a width of nearly one kilometer into a narrow 7-meter gorge, plunging 40 meters below with a thunderous roar. The resulting spray, mist, and often a vibrant rainbow create a breathtaking spectacle widely regarded as the highlight of the Nile and the crown jewel of Murchison Falls National Park.

Game drive & boat cruise in Murchison Falls

Enjoy an early breakfast as you prepare for an exciting morning of wildlife game driving, birdwatching, and sightseeing across the open savannah. The landscape is beautifully dotted with woodland and riverine vegetation stretching toward the Nile and the Albert Delta. During this game drive, you have excellent opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbuck, and an impressive variety of birdlife. You will then return to the lodge for a relaxed lunch.

After lunch, you'll be on a memorable two-hour boat cruise along the Nile, offering a guaranteed opportunity to view the magnificent Murchison Falls from the base. Along the riverbanks, you are likely to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, antelopes, and numerous aquatic bird species at close range.

In the evening, enjoy another rewarding game drive as wildlife becomes more active before sunset. Later, return to your accommodation to relax and unwind after a fulfilling day of safari experiences.
