After breakfast, your Kilibeyond Adventure Safari guide will arrive at your accommodation to pick you up. This morning, you will travel to Tarangire National Park, located approximately two and a half hours away via well-paved roads.
The park is named after the Tarangire River, which serves as the only water source for wildlife in the region during the Dry season. It is famous for its large herds of elephants, offering excellent chances to observe these impressive animals as they gather near the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, with various predators like lions and leopards often lurking nearby. Tarangire is recognized for having the highest variety of bird species in the world. The park is dotted with ancient baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a millennium old. A picnic lunch will be provided at a designated spot within the park. After your game drive, you will head to your accommodation in Karatu.
