Arrival - Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania. Your Gosheni guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to Gran Melia Arusha. Once you have settled in, we will talk through your safari, explain the next morning's flight arrangements and answer your questions. Use the rest of the day to rest after your journey and prepare for the bush. Your safari begins gently, with time to feel comfortable before heading to Northern Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park (North)

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Northern Serengeti. Your safari guide will meet you on arrival and begin introducing you to this remarkable landscape. Spend the next three days exploring the northern plains and Mara River area from Enkutoto Migration Camp. Your guide will follow recent wildlife sightings and adapt game drives to conditions, allowing time to watch animal behaviour. The migration follows rain and grazing, so herd locations and river crossings cannot be guaranteed. Return to camp each evening for dinner and rest.

Serengeti National Park (Central Seronera)

Travel south to Central Serengeti, watching how the landscape changes along the way. Your base for three nights is Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge, giving you time to explore the Seronera area without changing accommodation each day. Head out on game drives in search of lions, leopards, elephants and the smaller animals that are easy to overlook. Your guide will explain the tracks, sounds and behaviour that help tell the story of the bush. Enjoy time to watch a sighting unfold and return to the lodge each evening.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, travel to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for a game drive. The change from the highlands to the open crater floor is part of the experience. Explore the grasslands and wetland areas with your guide, looking for buffalo, zebra, hippos and predators; a black rhino sighting is possible but never assured. Your guide will work within the permitted crater visiting hours and the day's conditions. Later, ascend and continue to Naserian Safari Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park

Continue to Tarangire National Park for game viewing among baobabs, woodland and the Tarangire River. Look for elephants and take time to enjoy the birdlife and smaller details your guide points out along the way. Animal movements change with the seasons, so the route will follow conditions and recent sightings. After the drive into the park and your safari activities, settle into Serian Tarangire Camp for dinner and your final night in the bush.

Back to Arusha

After breakfast, leave Tarangire and travel back towards Arusha. If you would like to browse a local market on the way, let your guide know; any stop will depend on your flight schedule. We will arrange your onward transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, leaving suitable time for check-in. As your journey ends, there is time to share your favourite moments with the guide who has travelled with you.
