Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll depart Nairobi in the morning and embark on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive, exploring the vast savannah teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and, if lucky, a leopard or cheetah. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Masai Mara Full-Day Game Drive

Enjoy a full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara National Reserve offers one of the best opportunities to see cheetahs and lions in Kenya. Visiting this reserve in July will allow you to witness firsthand as thousands of wildebeest migrate across the treacherous crocodile-infested Mara River. This annual wildebeest migration is one of nature's most remarkable wildlife spectacles. The migration is a dramatic mass movement of almost two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in a seasonal, annual cycle driven by rainfall. Wildebeests make dramatic river crossings to reach Masai Mara's fresh grazing, facing enormous crocodiles that feast on the Mara plains and regain their strength. November's short rains trigger the last leg of the migration when the wildebeest move south to Serengeti. Return to the tented camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
