Day 1
Depart from Kampala or Entebbe early, around 7:00 AM, for a 3–4-hour drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District.
Upon arrival, you receive a briefing from a ranger about the sanctuary and the tracking process.
Begin your rhino tracking experience. You'll walk through the sanctuary with a guide to observe southern white rhinos up close in their natural habitat. You'll also learn about the conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures later go for lunch, after lunch continue to find the shoe bill stock, in the afternoon take a canoe ride in the nearby swamp to spot the rare and iconic shoebill stork. This prehistoric-looking bird is a highlight for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
We shall then later drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the late evening.
