Day 2

In the morning, drive through the rolling hills of the Miombo forest in southern Zambia, descending into the Zambezi Valley towards Gwabi River Lodge, located along the Kafue River, a key tributary of the Zambezi. In the evening, relax on the lodge's elevated deck while watching the sunset.

Day 3-4
Canoeing at Lower Zambezi

After breakfast, embark on a canoe journey down the Zambezi River, passing riverside villages and stunning landscapes. In the evening, camp on Elephant Bones Island, deep in the wilderness. Be sure to leave no trace of your stay and take everything with you.
The next morning, continue your canoe safari through an area teeming with elephants and hippos. Afterward, a motorboat will pick you up and transfer you upstream back to Gwabi River Lodge.

Day 5

Travel north to Lusaka, Zambia's capital, where you and your group will gather supplies from local shops and markets. In the afternoon, drive along the Great East Road, passing through small villages and roadside markets.
Arrive in Petauke by sunset and check into Chimwemwe Lodge for the night, where you'll stay in a standard twin room with an ensuite. The lodge features a restaurant and bar for your convenience.

Day 6-8
Explore South Luangwa National Park
Explore South Luangwa National Park
Journey into the heart of South Luangwa National Park, a remote and exceptional wildlife sanctuary teeming with elephants, hippos, lions, and leopards. Stay at the Wildlife Camp, where the tented chalets overlook the Luangwa River and offer views of the national park—wildlife can often be spotted from the camp’s swimming pool.
Over the next few days, explore the game management area and park on walking safaris and game drives. You’ll also have the chance to join night drives with a spotlight to observe nocturnal animals.
