A picnic by the hippo pool keeps you energized before you ascend and return to Karatu, the crater’s magic still fresh in your mind.

Your final day begins with an early drive to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe Bushmen. Join them on a morning hunt, learning how to track animals and shoot a bow and arrow the traditional way.
Around the fire, hear their stories – tales passed down through generations. Visit the Datoga blacksmiths, watching as they skillfully shape metal tools from scraps.
