Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Check for flights arriving in Nairobi the night before your departure to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi early the next morning. After a pre-safari briefing and introduction to your safari driver-guide, you will depart and drive down the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley. Your driver-guide will stop at strategic viewpoints along the way for photography opportunities, allowing you to view the escarpment and take pictures. You will continue your drive to arrive at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for lunch or late lunch.

Sarova Mara Game Camp epitomizes classic luxury safari accommodation, combining game viewing, safari walks, sport fishing, and other adventurous activities with superb tented accommodations.

At 4:00 PM, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve before returning to the camp to freshen up for dinner.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sarova Mara Game Camp.

One full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve at 06:30hrs and 16:00hrs respectively. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, Maasai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries and punctuated by marshes and forests. 0700 hrs - Start your day with a hearty breakfast, savoring local and international flavors to fuel your adventure ahead. After breakfast, depart and embark on a scenic drive towards Kenya’s breathtaking Rift Valley region. As you navigate through rolling hills and lush landscapes, you'll arrive in Naivasha around midday, just in time to check in at your accommodation and enjoy a leisurely lunch.

In the afternoon, take some time to relax and soak in the serene surroundings of Lake Naivasha. Alternatively, for those seeking adventure, consider joining an optional boat ride to Crescent Island. This picturesque location offers a unique opportunity to walk among free-roaming wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species, all within the stunning backdrop of the lake. Please note that this safari experience incurs an additional charge.

As the day winds down, return to the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for dinner.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, check out from your accommodation and embark on a picturesque drive to Hell's Gate National Park, a stunning natural reserve renowned for its dramatic landscapes and diverse wildlife. Once you arrive, prepare for a scenic walking safari through the park, where you can explore its rugged terrain, towering cliffs, and unique geothermal features. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of graceful gazelles, playful monkeys, and the striking rock formations that dot the landscape.

After your invigorating adventure in nature, you'll depart Hell's Gate and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Your driver-guide will ensure a smooth ride and provide interesting insights along the way. Once you reach Nairobi, they will drop you off at the airport, allowing you time to check in and relax before boarding your flight back home.
