Day 1

After breakfast in your accomodation in Arusha, you will be picked up by the guide with lunch boxes and start a less than a 3- hours’ drive to Tarangire National Park. With its savannah, seasonal swamps and upside-down trees, it is well known for its large number of elephant herds. During the dry seasons the Tarangire River, being one of the main sources of water in the area, attracts various animals.

During lunchtime, your driver will arrange a table in a picnic site for a satisfying meal, either a main dish, soup, bread rolls, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee.

After an extensive game drive, enjoyed from the open roof of the vehicle, you will leave the park and travel to Karatu for overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drives

You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater. Today, you will go on a full-day game drive in the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and is one of the only places on earth where mankind and wild animals coexists in harmony.

You will visit a Masai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional) where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children and learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic community.

The crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. You will spot the endangered black rhinos, wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, elands, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, giant tusked elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals and wild dogs

Later after the game drive, you'll be transferred to the your hotel or airport for your flight.
