After an early breakfast at your hotel in Bujumbura, your driver-guide will pick you up for a scenic drive to Gitega, the cultural heart of Burundi. Your first stop will be the Gishora Drum Sanctuary, where you’ll witness the heritage and power of the sacred royal drums—an iconic symbol of Burundian identity.

After this unique cultural experience, you’ll visit the National Museum of Gitega, home to fascinating ethnographic and historical artifacts that offer deeper insight into the nation’s past.

If time allows, the tour can continue to Karera Waterfalls, a picturesque natural site near Rutana known for its cascading waters and serene beauty.
