Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Once there, you'll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring the park's stunning wildlife, with a hot lunch served within the park. In the evening, you’ll head to Ngedere Lodge for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire is home to impressive herds of up to 300 elephants, often seen foraging for water along the riverbed. You'll also encounter large gatherings of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland around the shrinking lagoons. With one of the highest concentrations of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, it’s a predator’s paradise. It’s also the only place in Tanzania where you can regularly spot dry-country antelope, like the striking fringe-eared oryx and the unique long-necked gerenuk. During the dry season, Tarangire becomes a vital sanctuary for migrating species, making it a truly remarkable destination.
