Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

On this day, you will meet your driver-guide at your hotel at 07:00 am, then drive to Mikumi National Park. It is a 5- 6 hour drive, arriving around 3:00 pm. You'll have a game drive on the way to the hotel. In the evening, after a short rest, you'll walk to the Maasai village for Maasai activities. After enjoying the Maasai community, your driver will pick you back at your hotel for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay, waiting for the next day's actions.

Mikumi National Park Guided Full Game Drives

Early morning at 6:30 am, after breakfast in the morning, you'll drive to Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive until sunset. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian. While on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions and leopards. Other animals you're likely to see include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and antelopes. You will have lunch at Mikumi cottage within Mikumi National Park. After lunch, you'll continue with a game drive till sunset.

Back to Dar es Salaam By Train

In the morning after breakfast, you'll drive back to the Jakaya Train Station in Morogoro City through Mikumi National Park. You will board the train back to Dar es Salaam. You'll arrive in the afternoon in Dar es Salaam City, You'll be picked up with your transfer driver from the train station to your hotel or Zanzibar Ferry Station in Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your tour.
