Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our experienced safari guide, who will provide you with a brief overview of your exciting journey ahead. Afterward, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a beautiful expanse of rolling hills and picturesque landscapes that will set the stage for your safari adventure.

As you journey through the countryside, enjoy the vibrant sights of local villages, lush farmlands, and the diverse wildlife that inhabits this area. After approximately three hours, you will arrive at Lake Mburo National Park. Check into Mpogo Safari Lodge, a comfortable mid-range accommodation located just outside the park. After settling in, you can take a moment to relax and refresh before indulging in an early dinner.

After a delightful breakfast overlooking the stunning landscapes of Lake Mburo, prepare for a morning boat cruise on the tranquil waters of Lake Mburo. This is one of the park’s most popular activities and offers an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife up close. Keep your eyes peeled for hippos lounging in the water, crocodiles basking on the shores, and an array of antelope species such as waterbuck and bushbuck. The lake is also home to numerous bird species, including the majestic African fish eagle and colorful kingfishers, providing a paradise for birdwatchers.

Following the boat trip, you’ll check out of your lodge and continue your journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive to Bwindi is a scenic adventure, taking you through the beautiful volcanic landscapes characterized by steep hills and lush greenery. After approximately six hours of travel, you will arrive at Rushaga Gorilla Camp, a comfortable mid-range lodge nestled in the heart.

Day 3

Rise early, filled with anticipation for one of the highlights of your safari—the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking. After a hearty breakfast, your guide will lead you to the park headquarters for a briefing by the rangers. You’ll be grouped with fellow trekkers and assigned a gorilla family to visit.

The trek through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can take anywhere from three to four hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. The rangers will guide you through the thick foliage, sharing insights about the park’s flora and fauna, as well as the behavior and lifestyle of the mountain gorillas. Upon reaching your gorilla family, you’ll have one hour to observe and interact with these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. This once-in-a-lifetime encounter is both thrilling and humbling, offering a profound connection to wildlife.

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace of your lodge, surrounded by the breathtaking views of Lake Bunyonyi and its enchanting islands. Take in the tranquility of this remarkable place as you prepare for your journey back to Entebbe.

After breakfast, you will depart for Entebbe International Airport, with a stopover for lunch and a cup of delicious homemade organic coffee at the Uganda Equator. This is a great opportunity for memorable pictures and souvenir shopping before continuing to the airport.

Reflect on the unforgettable moments from your safari, filled with wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and the warmth of Ugandan culture. Your journey may be coming to an end, but the memories will linger long after you return home.
