Arrival

After leaving Hazyview in the morning, we make our way to the nearest border crossing - a trip of about 90 minutes. The border formalities are simple, and the afternoon after check- in is free for optional activities, as time permits. We arrive at Silverstone Lodge, which presents a charming blend of tradition and elegance awaiting guests in the magnificent surroundings of Pine Valley - Eswatini. Silverstone Lodge offers fully appointed en-suite bedrooms, which are spacious and designed with your comfort in mind. Each room has a private balcony/outdoor area overlooking the magnificent river/waterfall.

In the afternoon we have time for optional activities in the area. The lodge features an a-la-carte - restaurant, where you can have dinner. Alternatively, your driver can take you one of the nearby restaurants; or you can walk, as the area is very safe.

Visit of Mbabane and Local Culture Experience

This day is dedicated to cultural activities. You meet your guide at 9 am at the Parliament, from where we'll explore the National Museum, the King Sobhuza II Memorial Park and Lobamba, an authentic local village right next to the King's Palace on foot. You'll enjoy lunch at a local butchery, from where we'll continue with a visit to a "Cultural Village" (at about 15 minutes' drive), where you'll get to see a traditional performance of dancers.

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Today we drive to Mlilwane Game Reserve, where you'll have a choice of either doing an easy guided walk through nature, guided horse back riding or cycling. After lunch at the reserve we drive to a local crafts place called Swazi Candles to do some shopping at their crafts market. The making of candles can also be observed.

Return to OR Tambo

After breakfast we check-out at the lodge and make our way back to OR Tambo via the nearest border post; where it is time to say goodbye to the mysterious mountain Kingdom of eSwatini.
