After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and sweeping savannah. Depart Tarangire after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through lush forest, open plains, and along the lake shore, where flamingos, hippos, and monkeys abound. Keep watch for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions before heading to nearby Mto wa Mbu village for camping and dinner.
