Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire

Arusha to Tarangire

Start your safari with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading to Tarangire National Park, about a 2-hour drive away.

The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, massive baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals, especially in the dry season. Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and more than 500 species of birds. Stop for a picnic lunch in the park, then continue game viewing in the afternoon.

Later, exit the park and head toward the Ngorongoro Highlands area to rest and prepare for the next day.

Day 2

Tarangire to Ngorongoro

Tarangire to Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. You’ll have a great chance of seeing the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. Other common sightings include hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and large herds of gazelles and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, then continue exploring the crater floor.

In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and transfer to the Lake Manyara area.

Lake manyara

Lake manyara

On your final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush forest, tree-climbing lions, and colorful birdlife, including flamingos along the lakeshore.

The park’s diverse landscapes also host elephants, hippos, baboons, and antelopes. After a morning game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and then begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
