Day 3

Serengeti national park

Serengeti national park

After breakfast, you'll spend the entire day on an exciting game drive through Serengeti National Park, with a scenic picnic lunch along the way. Depending on the time of year, you may even have the incredible opportunity to witness the Great Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles move across the plains in a dramatic spectacle.

During the short rainy season in October and November, you’re likely to see these herds migrating from Kenya’s Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the southern plains. After the main rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds typically begin their return journey through the western and northwestern parts of the Serengeti. However, the timing and routes of migration can vary due to fluctuating rainfall, so the animals may travel at different times and along different paths.

Your expert guide will do everything possible to locate the herds and bring you to the best viewing spots in the park.
