3-Day Private Mount Meru Trekking Challenge

Arusha (1400m) – Hike to Miriakamba Hut (2500m)

Depart Arusha after breakfast and transfer to Momella Gate. Once registered, start your trek through Arusha National Park’s lush rainforest with an armed ranger. Spot giraffes, zebras, and antelope en route. Cross the Ngarenanyuki River and pass a waterfall before reaching Miriakamba Hut for sunset, dinner, and overnight.

Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3500m)

Today you ascend a steeper ridge trail with dramatic views of Mount Meru Crater and the Ash Tray. The vegetation transitions from forest to open heathlands. Arrive at Saddle Hut for an early dinner and rest. An optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3820m) is available before your midnight summit push.

Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak (4566m) – Return to Arusha

Start your summit attempt at 1:30 am after a light snack. Trek via Rhino and Cobra Points along a narrow ridge. Reach the summit at sunrise for unforgettable views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru’s crater. Descend to Momella Gate where your driver awaits to return you to Arusha.
