Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport) you will be met by The Habitat Adventure Travel’s representative and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park + Mto Wa Mbu Activities & Night Game Drive

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and as a paradise for bird lovers, with over 500 bird species recorded. Even first-time visitors can expect to see around 100 species in a day. The park also hosts elephants with large tusks, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, buffaloes, and hyenas. Lunch will be served inside the park, followed by more game viewing. In the afternoon, visit the nearby village of Mto wa Mbu for a cultural experience. Later in the evening, around 7:30 PM, your driver will take you on an exciting two-hour night game drive in Lake Manyara to spot nocturnal animals. After the drive, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara NNational Park Forest Hike + Tree Top Walk Way

You will be picked up from your accommodation in the morning and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a short game drive. Enjoy sightings of wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, elephants, and possibly the famous tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, experience the treetop walkway—an exciting walk through the forest canopy with great views and birdwatching. Afterward, drive to your lodge in Karatu for a relaxing afternoon. Ngorongoro Crater to Ndutu

Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro conservation area whereby you stop at the view point of Ngorongoro crater before you descend down the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep and is home to approximately 30,000 mammals. The crater offers a breathtakingly beautiful scenery and is the best place in East Africa to see the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and rarely leopard). Any safari in northern Tanzania should ideally include a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent birding, with over 500 species. You will have packed picnic lunch boxes with you and after having lunch at the picnic site, you will proceed with game drive until the late afternoon where you will ascend the crater and drive straight to your tented lodge in Ndutu for overnight stay.

Walking Safari + Game drive in Ndutu Area

Begin your day in Ndutu with a guided morning walking safari, offering a close-up look at the wildlife, plants, and tracks of the bush. After breakfast, set off on a full-day game drive across the rich plains of Ndutu, part of both Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From December to April, the area becomes a calving ground for the Great Migration, attracting many predators. With packed lunch, follow the herds and witness dramatic wildlife moments. Your game drive ends around 5 PM. Head to your tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After the visit, continue your drive to Arusha or airport, taking in the beautiful landscapes as you end your safari adventure with unforgettable memories.
