Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, a two-hour journey through the Maasai steppe. Once in the park, enjoy a game drive among vast savannahs dotted with giant baobabs. Tarangire is particularly known for its large elephant herds and a wealth of bird species, along with sightings of lions, giraffes, and zebras. After lunch and an afternoon game drive, you’ll head to your lodge or tented camp near the park for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, begin the scenic journey toward the Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional stops for panoramic views. You’ll arrive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera) by early afternoon, where you’ll enjoy your first game drive en route to camp. The Serengeti’s wide open plains are teeming with wildlife—expect to see prides of lions, herds of wildebeest and zebras, and possibly even cheetahs or leopards. Settle in at your lodge or tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Game drive - Karatu

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, the best time to see predators on the hunt. After lunch, begin your journey toward Ngorongoro with a wildlife-viewing drive along the way. Arrive in the Karatu area or on the crater rim by late afternoon, where you’ll relax at your lodge, surrounded by highland forests and cool air. Dinner and overnight await at your accommodation near the crater.

Ngorongoro Crater

Rise early for the highlight of the trip: a full morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast caldera offers excellent chances of seeing the Big Five, including endangered black rhinos. Lions, elephants, hippos, and abundant birdlife are also found here. After a picnic lunch in the crater, begin your ascent and return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
