Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, a two-hour scenic journey through the Maasai heartland. Spend the day exploring the park’s unique landscape, where large elephant herds, baobab trees, and seasonal riverbeds draw diverse wildlife. Lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species can also be seen here. After your game drive and lunch, continue to Karatu, nestled in the green highlands near Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Karatu.

After an early breakfast, head toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, entering via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you travel across the vast plains of the Serengeti. By early afternoon, arrive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera), known for its rich resident wildlife and big cat sightings. Enjoy your first Serengeti game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp, where you’ll have dinner and overnight in the heart of the park.

Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s open savannahs. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, or track lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more across the plains. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with breaks at camp for meals, or opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. In the evening, return to your camp for a sundowner and a relaxing dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning your journey toward Ngorongoro. Travel through scenic landscapes as you exit the Serengeti and arrive at your lodge on the crater rim or back in Karatu, depending on your accommodation choice. The cooler climate and forested surroundings offer a peaceful atmosphere. Dinner and overnight near Ngorongoro.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Rise early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa. Explore the floor of this vast caldera, where lions, elephants, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino roam freely. After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, continue your game drive before ascending the crater walls and beginning your return drive to Arusha. You’ll arrive by late afternoon, where your safari concludes.
