Pick Up from the Hotel

The tour guide will pick you up from the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 7 am, then set off for a long drive to the southwest to Bwindi National Park, with an en-route stopover at the Equator for experimentation and photography. You will have a lunch break in Mbarara. You will proceed to Bwindi National Park in the early evening, have dinner, and spend a night at Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Gorilla Trekking-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will travel to the National Park Headquarters to meet your tour guides, who will take you through the day for your gorilla tracking experience. Experienced tour guides and trackers will escort you on an early morning trek into the dense forest on the mountain slopes.
The journey through the dense foliage and up steep climbs is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these wonderful apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare, with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. This will be a worthwhile it unforgettable adventure. If there is a chance and time, you will have a guided walk through the forest.
NOTE: Tracking can be fairly strenuous with the treks up to six hours or even longer in high altitudes, not uncommon.

Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

You will start your journey back to Kampala after breakfast, have a stopover at the Equator so you can have a quick picnic lunch, take memorable pictures, and buy souvenirs. After which, you'll set off straight to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight back home.
