Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to Greenside Hotel. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion on day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage, and Arusha city museum.

Arusha to Ndutu

We will pick you up from the hotel with a packed lunch included & drive to Ndutu (about 5.5 hours, covering a distance of 260 km). After 2 hours of driving, we will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will notice the landscape changing from hilly forests to plains and green grasslands. Sweeping grasslands cover the region which gradually fades into the Serengeti. Ndutu forms part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeest and thousands of zebra, antelope, and gazelle.

During game drives in the right season (between December and April), we will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving and nursery grounds for the great migration. This season attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest. Crested with Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek, these waterholes offer plenty of wildlife during the dry season. Ndutu is also the home ground for 6 species of big cats.

Full Game Drive In Ndutu Area

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Ndutu Area, renowned for its abundant wildlife and seasonal migration. Spend the day exploring the plains with a picnic lunch, maximizing your time in this spectacular wilderness. In the evening, return to Mbuni Migration Camp in Ndutu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast at Mbuni Migration Camp, begin your day with a transfer game drive from Ndutu towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for an exciting game drive, exploring its diverse wildlife and spectacular landscapes. After a picnic lunch, continue your crater exploration before ascending in the late afternoon. You will then transfer to Arusha Airport or to your preferred hotel in Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
