Day 1

Kampala - Queen Elizabeth Park

Kampala - Queen Elizabeth Park

You will set off after breakfast and head west of Kampala to Queen Elizabeth Park. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some fun and memorable photos. You will continue to Mbarara Town where you will have lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon you will go for a two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward. The the cruise you will view concentrations of giant hippo, elephant, and crocodile among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. Later in the day you will have dinner and enjoy your overnight stay at the lodge booked for you.

Day 2

Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale Forest National Park

You will wake early and take off on a morning game drive in the park during which you will see lions, elephant, topi, leopard, bush buck, buffalo, waterbucks, hogs, and kob among others. On the drive to Kibale National Park you will be able to enjoy an impressive sight of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon” which you will clearly see on the road to Fort Portal. Later in the day you will enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge book for you.

Day 3

Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you will head to Kibale Forest National Park to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing of the rules for trekking the chimpanzees after which you set off to search for them in the forest. The tour takes half a day and along the way you will see other primates such as Grey cheeked mangabeys, phoestes, Red-colobus and the Blue tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the branches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across as well as on the vegetation, insects and butterflies in this forest. Our guide will ensure that the trek is not only enjoyable but informative and educational. You will return to the lodge for lunch and then take off to explore the unique Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site where you will encounter uncommon plant and bird species such as the Great Blue turacco, bulbul, Rwenzori turaco and the Narina trogon, among others.

Day 4

Entebbe

Entebbe

After breakfast you will leave for an early morning nature walk in the forest to observe the unique animal species and then return to the lodge. After a morning at your leisure you will have lunch and then take off for Kampala and then to Entebbe for an evening flight back home. This is where your safari will end.
