Day 1
From Windhoek to Sossuvlei
From Windhoek to Sossuvlei
After landing at Windhoek International Airport, you will be welcomed by your private naturalist guide. You will start your Namibian safari straight away, taking the road southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before you head down the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert below, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way.
You arrive at your accommodation in the midafternoon and you will stay here for two nights whilst you explore the remarkable sights of the Namib Desert.
This afternoon you can just relax and soak in the scenic and tranquil surroundings at the Lodge before joining on your sundowner drive activity offered by the lodge.

Day 2
Desert Dunes Discovery

This morning you will rise early for a magical excursion into the Namib Naukluft National Park, entering the Park gates at sunrise to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world.
Your guide will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs.
Once you have explored the areas around Sossusvlei and Deadvlei to your hearts content you can enjoy a picnic in the shade of a camel thorn tree.
The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the area around the lodge, or relax with a good book, chat to your guide if you would like to add an extra activity.

Day 3
Drive to Swakopmund
Drive to Swakopmund
The fascinating drive today takes you northwest through awesome and ever changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb canyons. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay and then continue north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air for tonight. There will be time this afternoon to explore the town and wander along the waterfront on foot.

Day 4
Discover Beautiful Damaraland
Discover Beautiful Damaraland
Continuing on your safari today, the road takes you north and east into the wonderful and diverse region of Damaraland. You pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg which peaks at 2,573 m above sea level, and take time to view game and absorb the vastness of the scenery along the way. Damaraland is typified by displays of colour, magnificent table topped mountains, rock formations and bizarre-looking vegetation.
It is the variety and loneliness of the area as well as the scenic splendour which will reward and astound you, giving one an authentic understanding of the word 'wilderness'. If time allows this afternoon your guide will take you to visit the nearby attractions and geological sites of the pre-historic Twyfelfontein rock engravings (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - if not there is plenty of time to see them tomorrow.

Day 5
Activities in Damaraland
Activities in Damaraland
After an early breakfast you will be treated to an exciting 4x4 excursion to explore this remarkable region and to search for game, especially the elusive desert adapted elephants, if they are in the area. Damaraland is home to a variety of desert adapted wildlife and hidden desert treasures.
The afternoon you can enjoy a scenic bush walk, or scenic afternoon nature drive, or alternatively visit Twyfelfontein, if it was not done yesterday.

Day 6
Drive to Etosha
Drive to Etosha
Today you set off on your journey to the Etosha National Park. You arrive in time for an afternoon game drive in the park with your private guide. Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s most established and sought after national parks. From open plains to arid savanna and some of the best game viewing around, this park has a lot going for it. Etosha pan is the most recognizable feature of Namibia’s premier national park. It is so enormous that you can see it from space. This 120 km (75 mi) long dry lakebed is the heart of the park and in fact is eponymous with the park itself, whose name translates to “Great White Place” after the characteristic coloring of this massive salt pan.
The Etosha Oberland Lodge is located in a 5,500 hectare game reserve that shares a 10km border with the Etosha National Park. The Lodge is open to the savannah and wildlife can be spotted all round the hotel.

Day 7

Today you will be treated to an exciting morning guided game drive into the Etosha National Park, to see more of the wide variety of game and bird species that are to be found there before returning to the lodge for a late lunch.
There is then time to relax by the refreshing swimming pool before you head out again for an afternoon game drive before exiting the park before sunset (either in the park or on the Lodge (as per discussions with your guide).
Alternatively, you can opt to spend the whole day out in the park and either take lunch by the waterhole at the Okaukuejo restcamp or have a picnic while watching game at a particularly productive waterhole in the area.
Once you are back, the rest of the evening can be spent game viewing at the camp’s floodlit waterhole while enjoying dinner, and afterwards.

Day 8
Drive to Windhoek
Drive to Windhoek
After an early breakfast you set off on your journey back to Windhoek. The road takes you south through Namibia’s central highlands and commercial farmlands to reach Windhoek. Lunch is included.
You will be transferred to Windhoek International Airport - departure flights must be no earlier than 18h00 to allow sufficient time for the journey back to Windhoek, or a final night in Windhoek can be arranged at additional cost if required.
