Day 1

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

Today, you'll be picked up from your hotel and transferred straight to the central region of Serengeti National Park, where you'll begin your exploration of its vast, iconic plains. We'll bring along packed lunches to enjoy during the day as you immerse yourself in the wilderness.

The Serengeti is renowned for its rich wildlife, offering sightings of both predators—such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions—and large herds of herbivores, including wildebeests and zebras. As one of Africa’s premier safari destinations, it also provides an excellent opportunity to spot the legendary Big Five: lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard, and elephant. The park’s global fame is heightened by the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, especially visible in the Northern Serengeti.

Today's main activity is a wildlife game drive through this breathtaking landscape. In the evening, you’ll unwind and overnight at a comfortable tented lodge, fully immersed in the sounds and serenity of the African bush.

After an early breakfast, you'll set out for the northern reaches of the Serengeti, heading toward the Kogatende–Masai Mara region. A packed lunch will be provided for the journey, and you'll enjoy an overnight stay in this remarkable area. You'll be spending two days here to fully take in the stunning wildlife and landscapes.

From early July to early October, this region offers front-row seats to one of nature’s most dramatic events—the Great Migration. During this time, vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes make their way from Kogatende to the Masai Mara, braving the perilous crossing of the Mara River. It's a breathtaking sight, often punctuated by tense encounters with lurking crocodiles and other predators.

After a hearty breakfast, you'll depart from your lodge and head to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater was formed around three million years ago. It plunges 610 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. Home to a dense concentration of wildlife—over 25,000 large animals—it offers some of the best game viewing in all of Tanzania. Within minutes of entering the crater, you’re likely to encounter wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a rich variety of birdlife, with more than 500 recorded species.

If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the rare and endangered black rhino grazing in the open grasslands. After a rewarding game drive and a scenic picnic lunch, you'll ascend from the crater in the afternoon and return to Arusha, where you'll be dropped off at your accommodation to conclude your safari adventure.
