1-Day Lake Nakuru Safari – Departing Nairobi

You'll be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi at 6:30 AM and begin your scenic drive to Lake Nakuru, with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Upon arrival, enter Lake Nakuru National Park—famed as a bird sanctuary with over 400 species, including vibrant flamingos that give the lake its nickname, “The Pink Lake.”

Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of wildlife such as Rothschild giraffes, endangered black rhinos, tree-climbing pythons, and four of the Big Five. Visit the stunning Makalia Falls, one of the few areas where you can step out and enjoy the serene environment.

Continue to Baboon Cliff, a panoramic viewpoint perfect for photos and a picnic-style lunch. Afterward, stop by the lakeshore to witness the flamingos up close, their brilliant pink plumage mirrored on the water.

Wrap up with a short cultural visit through Nakuru town, stopping at curio shops and the Maasai Market for souvenirs, before heading back to Nairobi.
