Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will be met by our Gorilla Explorers representative at your guesthouse, hotel, or the airport and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The forest provides a base for relaxing and exploring the pearl of Africa, and tracking mountain gorillas in the nearby Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This is a scenic drive from Kigali through the Gatuna Border with Uganda, followed by check-in at your hotel in Kisoro and preparation for gorilla trekking the following day.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi an Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast with your packed lunch, you'll be briefed by your ranger or tour guide before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Enter the breathtaking rainforest, the gorilla sanctuary, which features a dense landscape with animal trails for tracking. The highlight of the park is the magnificent mountain gorillas, and you will explore the misty Bwindi Forest in search of these endangered species. Enjoy this memorable hiking experience.

Once located, spending time with these gentle and shy apes is a breathtaking adventure you'll want to experience again. After an hour with the gorillas, you'll return to the park headquarters for a participation certificate. Then, you'll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, about a two-hour drive away, for an evening of relaxation with a boat or canoeing activity at the lake.
